Prices for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq will start at $52,895 in the United States before a $1,495 destination cost.

It will be slightly more expensive than the Tesla Model Y Performance, and only a few thousand dollars less than the bigger Cadillac Lyriq.

Interestingly, and unlike many other EVs marketed in the United States, only a single engine option will be available across the range.

The 2025 Cadillac Optiq is powered by an 85 kWh battery pack and two electric motors that provide 300 horsepower and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) of torque.

Cadillac will remove the entry-level Lyriq for the 2025 model year, largely raising its price by about $4,100, since the Luxury trim will now serve as the most affordable choice.

The 2024 Lyriq Luxury begins at $61,295. Buyers will also be thrilled to learn that GM expects the Optiq to qualify for the full $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit.

The main competitor to the Optiq is the Tesla Model Y. Tesla starts at $44,990 for the Long Range RWD

The Performance All-Wheel Drive costs $51,490, while the Long Range All-Wheel Drive costs $47,990.

Priced and performs better than the Cadillac, the Tesla has the Optiq beat in terms of interior and is way more loaded with a 33 inch curved screen and 19 speaker AKG sound system.
