2026 Honda Prelude Could Combine Manual Gearbox With Hybrid Power.

A new report now says that the 2026 Honda Prelude could couple its hybrid powertrain with a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2026 Honda Prelude is projected to share its fundamentals with the Honda Civic.

While the previous model, which is offered as a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan, the Prelude will remain a two-door coupe, indicating its sporting orientation.

Aside from the Type R, the most sporty model of the Honda Civic lineup is now the new RS trim, which was just debuted in Japan as part of a moderate facelift.

The Prelude could have an automatic transmission combined with Honda's e-hybrid powertrain

If accurate, this would be Honda's first self-charging hybrid with a stick shift since the canceled CR-Z.

The retail edition of the reverted Honda Prelude is set to arrive in the latter part of 2025.

Official confirmations have been received for markets like as Japan and Europe, with the United States also appearing plausible, particularly after Honda demonstrated the concept at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show.
