Kia is expanding its inventory to include passenger and light commercial vans known as Platform Beyond Vehicles (PBVs).

At the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, Kia presented its exciting electric van strategy with some innovative concepts, including the Kia PV5

Kia has exciting plans to launch 14 electric cars by 2027, including delivery vans, shuttles, and robotaxis.

We found three Kia PV5 development prototypes in Europe, and they still feature a lot of the styling from the CES concept. The design features fascinating geometrical forms, crisp creases, and a smooth, flat look.

PV5 versions prioritize versatility, with passenger and van vehicles standing at 74.8 inches in height. The high-roof version has a height of 86.61 inches, allowing for more cargo room.

The passenger model has flexible seats and AI-powered entertainment features. The delivery van maximizes its cargo space with quick loading and innovative 'by wire' steering and braking systems.

The robotaxi model will include self-driving technologies. The Kia PV5's electric system will make use of advanced battery technology to provide long-range and efficiency.

The Kia PV5 competes against the Ford E-Transit, Mercedes-Benz eVito, and Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo

Kia might produce the PV5 at its Mexico plant for the US market to steer clear of the chicken tax.
