Bill Cobbs, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Demolition Man’ Actor, Dies at 90

Mr. Cobbs was not a household name in Hollywood, but he had a face that anyone who watched TV or movies in recent decades would recognize. 

Cobbs passed away on Tuesday night at his home in Riverside,

He began performing at the Karamu House, a historically black theater in Cleveland where plays by Langston and Hughes were first performed. 

He made his big screen debut in 1974 at the age of 40 in “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three”. 

Cobbs won a Daytime Emmy at age 86 for a small role in a daytime episode for the children's show "Dino Dana."
