Acura's newest SUV, the all-electric ZDX, was recalled over the weekend, with up to 5,000 of the freshly released vehicles listed as potentially affected.
On Friday, the Lexus announced an over-the-air software upgrade that would relieve a software fault that impairs low-speed braking on all-wheel drive models.
A-Spec AWD and Type S cars were impacted. There's no need to visit the dealership—you can update the software at home for free.
All 2024 AWD models that might be impacted received the software update on Friday.
The recall is related to a problem with stopping at speeds lower than 25 mph. An anti-lock braking system that is "overly sensitive" may activate and cause a collision.
Owners who have their cars turned on and parked can now locate the fix on a notification on the center touchscreen thanks to the release of the update.
Otherwise, the update is located in "Settings" and then "Updates & History," which owners can access at any time.
The starting prices for the AWD variants, the Type S and A-Spec AWD, are $73,500 and $68,500, respectively.
