Tesla Cybertrucks Are Getting Full Self-Driving

Delivery of Tesla's Cybertruck may have begun in 2023, and some (but not all) owners had been able to engage Tesla's so-called Full Self-Driving package.

A specific group of Tesla Cybertruck models get the feature currently referred to as Full Self-Driving (Supervised) activated by Tesla.

The carmaker has enabled FSD in a particular group of the Cybertruck vehicle population, with the current version 12.5.5 being deployed to the electric trucks.

Version 12.5.5 includes driver attention monitoring, as well as other minor enhancements.

Tesla is implementing SAE Level 2 with a vision-only strategy after removing several sensors from the most recent hardware packages that are fitted in its vehicles.

At a point in the future, other automakers such as Audi, Volvo, and Polestar may provide eyes-off SAE Level 3 systems in the United States.

It is expected that Tesla will reveal what it considers a robotaxi, which is generally referred to as an SAE Level 4 car.
