Toyota is recalling 100,000 pickup trucks and luxury SUVs due to engine failure

About 3,500 luxury Tundra pickups and Lexus LX 600 SUVs to fix the problem that their engines can lose power while running

Some of these vehicles may have debris from the manufacturing process left in the engine compartment where it could cause a blow out

Here are the 2022 and 2023 model year Tundras and LX 600s

According to Toyota, the recall only applies to conventional gasoline, not blends.

(The Tundra is only available in gas versions and an “iForce Max” hybrid version.)

Owners of potentially affected vehicles will be sent a letter in late July saying Toyota is working to find a solution.

Once the repair is scheduled, owners will be instructed to take the vehicle to a Toyota dealer for a free repair.
